Linux versions

Posted by Terry mardy at June 12. 2009

Hi, I'm new to Linux and I have 2 PC's which have previously operated using windows xp. They are both fairly old and have Intel Pentium 4 processors. Could you give me your recommendations as to which version of Linux I should use? Again, I’d like to emphasise that I am completely new to Linux. At the moment i am considering using ubuntu 9.04, as it seems to be the most user friendly version of Linux :)

Ubuntu 9.04 is without a doubt (IMHO) streets ahead of the rest.
