help me please!!! broadband modem problem!!!!

i have a acer aspire one netbook with linux lite on it i am trying to get totally mobile (eg out n about in car) with it but i cant get my mobile modem to install on netbook can someone help me in leymans terms being as im not that familular with this system.....

I had bought a Huawei E156G bb mobile modem except it will not run why????? it just comes up with a contents folder with the executable file to run it but when click it it does nothing help its doin my head in now!!!!!!!!!

will i need to buy a new modem or is there a driver to make mine work on this system?????
